Our second year of sponsoring Hole 12 at the ASHRAE Golf Tournament was a success. It was held at Swan-E-Set Bay Resort & Country Club again and we brought along some radiant heaters along with our 15,000 CFM blower, the “Hurricane”.
This year was definitely a lot less weather friendly for the golfers. With only around 30 minutes of dry weather, our tent was a nice warm relief for those who had to spend most of their day out in the rain. We had two 3kW radiant heaters hung from the tent support beams and they provided sufficient warmth to heat our 10′ x 20′ tent at that time of year. Since we were at the men’s long drive hole, we thought a little extra wind boost in the right direction would be well received. Some golfers were commenting on the extra 10-20 meters on their swing!
It was great seeing the familiar faces from last year and of course our current customers that we don’t get to see often enough. ASHRAE is a great opportunity to meet others in the industry and the golf tournament has turned out to be a success for us at Cool Air. We look forward to next year and wish everyone the most successful cooling season!
